Editing Your Profile


At the time of Registration, you get a chance to complete your Realated profile, but in case if you want to add/modify some details at a later stage, you may Edit your profile, including your profile photo, personal information, interests, etc.



Changing Profile Settings


You can change your Account settings such as Privacy settings, E-mail Notifications, Newsletter settings, and other related information via Settings page.

You can also Change your Account Password, or Delete your Account.



How To's


Create/Manage Photo Albums


The Photos you upload as a part of your Profile Display Image, and through the Activity area while posting updates are automatically added to your Profile Albums. However, if you want to create new albums, or manage the already existing ones, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Photo Albums page by clicking the "Photos" tab from the Top Main-Menu bar.

  2. You may Browse through all existing photo albums, Manage your own albums (including their Privacy/Tagging settings, Add/Remove photos etc.), or Create New Albums. A search form is also present to make it easier for you to find the albums.

  3. To create new album, click on the "Add New Photos" tab.

  4. From there, you may create a new album by providing necessary details such as Title, Description, Category etc. and then ultimately choose the Photos you want to upload, and hit the "Save Photos" button at the bottom. You may also choose an existing album from the dropdown menu to upload photos to an already existing album.


Create/Manage Property Listings


To create new Property Listing, or manage the ones you already created, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Property Listings page by clicking the "Properties" tab from the Top Main-Menu bar.

  2. You may Browse through all existing Property Listings, Manage your own Listings (editing, deleting, adding Photos, etc.), Organise Listings into Groups, or Create New Listings. A search form is also present to make it easier for you to find property listings published on the Realated Network, with lots of filtering option.

  3. To create new Property listing, click on the "Post New Listing" tab.

  4. From there, you may create a new listing by providing necessary details such as Title, Category, Description, Location, Display Photo, Tags, Privacy/Comment settings etc. After filling in all the details, Hit the "Post Listing" button to generate the listing.

  5. To add more precise details to your listings such as Price (USD), Property Type, Map Coordinates, etc. Go to "My Listings" tab from the Listings main-page, and click the "Edit Listing" link for the Property Listing you want to add more details to. Now, you may add more details about your listing, and finally save the changes.

  6. Next, you may visit the Listing's page for the Property listing you just created, and share it with your contacts, create discussions, post photos/updates etc.


Create/Manage Blog Posts


To create new blog posts, or manage the ones you already created, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Blogs page by clicking the "Blogs" tab from the Top Main-Menu bar.

  2. You may Browse through all existing blog posts, Manage your own blog posts (editing, deleting, privacy/comment settings, etc.), or Create New Blog posts. A search form is also present to make it easier for you to find existing blog posts on the Realated Network.

  3. To create new post, click on the "Write New Entry" tab.

  4. From there, you may create a new blog entry by providing necessary details such as Title, Tags, Category, Status etc. Finally, Compose the post, and hit the "Post Entry" button at the bottom.


Create/Manage Member Groups


To create new member groups, or manage the ones you already created, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Groups page by clicking the "Groups" tab from the Top Main-Menu bar.

  2. You may Browse through all existing groups, Manage your own Groups, or Create New Groups. You may also sort groups based on Group Category, Group Owners, etc.

  3. To create new group, click on the "Create New Group" tab.

  4. From there, you may create a new member group by providing necessary details such as Group Name, Description, Group Profile Photo, Category, Privacy/Member settings etc. After filling in all the details, Hit the "Save Changes" button to publish the group on the website.

  5. Finally, you may visit the Group page you just created, and start inviting members, publishing Updates/Documents, starting Discussions etc.


Create/Manage Pages


To create new Pages, or manage the ones you already created, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Pages page by clicking the "Pages" tab from the Top Main-Menu bar.

  2. You may Browse through all existing Pages, Manage your own Pages, or Create New Pages. A search form is also present to make it easier for you to find existing pages on the Realated Network.

  3. To create new Page, click on the "Create New Page" tab.

  4. From there, you may create a new page by providing necessary details such as Page Title, Description, URL, Display Photo, Tags etc. After filling in all the details, Hit the "Save" button to publish the page on the website.

  5. Finally, you may visit the newly created Page you just created, and start sharing it with your contacts, upload albums/videos, post updates, etc.





Adding Un-verified Members


Upon Registration, you are provided with the priviledges to Add New Member Accounts to the Realated Network. Initially, the account will be marked un-verified, which can only be activated after the un-verified registered member activates it using the link sent to the registered email address. The process is very much similar to creating a new account on the website. You will be asked to provide details such as Personal Information, E-mail, Interests, etc. You will have complete control over the account by the time, the un-verified member itself activates the account, upon which the control will be transferred to that person. Also, upon adding a new member, the new account will be automatically added to your Contacts list.


To Invite/Import your contacts from other networks (such as AOL, GMail, Yahoo, MSN, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to Realated, you just need to navigate to Invite page, and fill in the required details. You may also upload Contacts manually from file (CSV, TXT, VCF etc.).



Communicating in Private via Direct Message System


You may send messages in private to your contacts on the Realated Network, or read the ones sent by them, using the Realated Messaging System. It is much more like an e-mail system in terms of usage and privacy.
